DALLAS (March 22, 2018) –Park Place Motorsports and Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama driver David Kolkmann are to be featured at the upcoming Forza Racing Championship Invitational Presented by IMSA this Saturday, March 24.

A selection of the world's top Forza Motorsport 7 drivers and teams will battle in Seattle, Washington at the headquarters of Turn 10 Studios, creators of the Xbox franchise. The IMSA Forza Racing Championship Invitational is showcased in a four-hour broadcast that can be viewed across various social platforms including Twitch.tv, Mixer (formerly Beam), Twitter, YouTube, Forzamotorsports.net and Facebook.

“I use simulators a lot when training because it helps me learn the track,” Kolkmann said. “So, there is some relation to when you’re at the track physically driving on it to the virtual system. I’m interested to see how realistic this version of Forza is, I haven’t played it yet. Maybe they’ll let me try it out while I’m there.

“I’m excited to watch the drivers race. Sometimes a driver can be very good in a car but not good on a simulator Really, these drivers have developed a skill that is similar, but a bit different to racing drivers. It will be fun to watch and compare. I’m happy to be a part of this show and thankful to everyone at IMSA and Forza for inviting me.”

Kolkmann will lend commentary during the show and at halftime. He'll compare his on-site driving experience to the virtual simulation experience of the drivers at the ForzaRC Invitational Presented by IMSA. Kolkmann can relate his on-track understanding to his simulator work preparing for his recent weekend at Sebring International Raceway, one of the venues featured at the invitational.

The top 12 Forza Motorsport 7 drivers will compete at iconic venues such as Daytona International Speedway, Sebring International Raceway, Watkins Glen International, Road America, VIRginia International Raceway, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and Road Atlanta. Of the seven IMSA tracks the ForzaRC Invitational field is set to race, five are on Kolkmann's Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA schedule.
